Post Research Your Link Building Efforts
Before you agree to trade links with a website you will want to do some basic research. We open the site to see if the content is appropriate and/or relevant, check the page rank and see if there really is a link to our website. I also check to see if the link page is linked to the websites' home page. After All, if the link page cannot be found what good is it?

One other element I check is the Safe Browsing Diagnostics for the website. I don't want to link to a site that routinely delivers Mal-Ware.

A good tool is Google's Safe Browsing Diagnostics at:
http://google.com/safebrowsing/diagnostic?site=linkativity.com

The above link will show the results from our parent site LinkAtivity Free One-Way Links

Start a blog. Not just for the sake of having one. Post regularly and post great content. Good execution is what gets the links.

Link to other blogs from your blog. Outbound links are one of the cheapest forms of marketing available. Many bloggers also track who is linking to them or where their traffic comes from, so linking to them is an easy way to get noticed by some of them.
